LABORATORY INFORMATION


National Veterinary Diagnostic Services (NVDS) is a California based full service laboratory that was established in May of 1997.

At NVDS, we understand that there are several laboratories for you to choose from. We are commited to provide you with the very best in Diagnostic Services available.

We are continuously looking at new tests and examining ways to improve the services that are available to you.

We offer the services of some of the finest board-certified clinical pathologist and specialists in the industry. Consultation services are available to assist you in whatever you may need.

NVDS is open Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm Pacific Standard Time and on Saturday by appointment except on the specified holidays:

QUALITY CONTROL


At NVDS, we are dedicated to provide you with the highest quality of service you have known.

We are involved in strict quality control programs, both internal as well as external. Through strict monitoring and adherence to these programs, we are able to guarantee you the very best.

Every sample received is treated as if it was from our own pets.

REPEAT TESTING & RECHECKS


NVDS will automatically repeat any test that is grossly abnormal.

A recheck can also be requested by the submitting clinician, in the event that he/she feels it is necessary.

ADD-ON TESTS


Add-on tests must be ordered with the original request.

TEST CANCELLATIONS


Test cancellations will be handled on an individual basis. There may be a charge based on the status of a sample that has already been tested.

RESULT REPORTING


Results will be Faxed to the submitting clinician. Results may also be mailed, reported over the phone, or e-mailed.

BILLING


An itemized invoice is mailed out on the 10th of each month and will be due on the 25th.

Past due balances will be subject to a 3.0% charge of the past due balance.

Any account that is 90 days delinquent will be handled on a C.O.D. basis, unless other arrangements have been made.

SPECIMEN QUALITY


The quality of the results can only be as good as the quality of the submitted sample. Please make every effort to submit a quality sample.

SHIPPING SAMPLES


To ensure sample integrity, all samples should be shipped Monday - Thursday unless arrangements have been made for a Saturday delivery. Samples that are shipped over the weekend are usually unacceptable for testing.

When packaging samples for shipping, make sure samples are well insulated and secured. An ice pack should also be included with the sample to keep it cool.
